Hi,
My son started doing some training videos. He uses a Sennheiser wireless mic plugged into canon eos 70d camera.
When the video is downloaded, edited and rendered in videostudio it plays perfectly well - except for apple speakers.
Al devices other than apple get perfect audio. Apple devices using headphones get perfect audio. But apple devices with speakers attached make the sound completely garbled.
His solution is to export the audio, import into Audacity, convert to mono, remove a channel and then insert that video back onto the sound track of videostudio and then it works.
He said he found an article online that explains the weird technical reason as to why this is so but cant find it any more.
I thought I'd just try here to see if there are any sound engineer gurus who have heard of this issue and know if there is a better way to capture the video so we dont have to go through the last Audacty step.
Cheers
David

Re: Audio problems only on apple speakers
DMZ, can you upload a short VS video that present this? good audio on headphone, bad on own device speakers.
I have no apple's here, but I can try it later this week on an ipad.

Re: Audio problems only on apple speakers
Hi David
A sample would be useful, again I do not have apple speakers.
I own a 7d and do not have this problem, I assume the audio will be the same for the eos70D. (16bit Little Endian)
As it’s a playback issue, have you tried creating a wav file using Video Studio.
Add one clip to the timeline, Share - Audio – select the Wav option and options cogwheel to set attributes
Microsoft WAV Files
PCM
48.000 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo
Does that play ok?
