I am running PhotoImpact 10 on a Dual Xeon 2.66 MHz w/3GB RAM and approximately 1 TB of disk storage with Windows XP Pro operating system. I have been trying to create some large images for print. I have spent hours creating images and then when I try to save them I get the message "Insufficient Memory" or "Insufficient Global Memory". I can see in the Windows Task Manager that I have not nearly exhausted memory or the page file. I have .ufo files created at an earlier time that I cannot even bring into PhotoImpact now. I have the same problem no matter whether I wish to save them as .ufo or .psd. Further, I have the same problem if I attempt to "flatten" them by merging all objects. This is mind boggling to me. PI should warn me the instant that I have created an image that it will not be able to save ... actually, it should be able to save any image I can create!
The current image I am having trouble with is only 206 MB on disk. The base image is 10200 x 6600 pixels and the Image Properties Size is reported to be 197,227 KB.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as I have much larger images I need to create.

Wow you've got quite a workstation there...
Unfortunaly, PhotoImpact 10 is not optimized to work with large images like the one you are working on.
Theoretically there should be no problem working with such files with the system specs that you have. However, this is a common problem with PhotoImpact that even others with big memory allocations experience as well.
