VS X10 Ult Screen Capture query

Screen Capture in X6 Ult & X9 Ult work as expected. The Drop Down Menu gives a choice of Full Screen or Custom, with Application available showing beneath and all appears OK. All very responsive to mouse arrow/clicks
But, using X10 Ult the Drop Down menu does not respond to the down arrow, it is stuck on Full Screen. The only way to get a choice is by pressing the "Freehand Selection", the menu option then changes to "Custom", in a laggy, unresponsive way, but still refuses to show the Applications options available under X9 & X6.
Is this normal or am I missing something?

Thanks for that, yes I get the same response as you with X10 being very slow when selecting the down arrow.
If I am patient and do not press the mouse again the menu eventually pops up, but is very slow.
Certainly X9 is instant.
I checked the actual file VSSCap.exe to compare X9 to X10, I would have expected the same but are different so X10 may have been updated, although I do not see any difference, clearly not a good move on Corels part.

When I select screen capture it always opens full screen and I then just grab the small boxes around the edge of the screen and align them to the area I want to capture - the drop down automatically changes to 'custom' without any input from me - and I had no idea that there was any 'application' selection in there - I have never ever felt the need for that - I just open the application I want to capture from - set up what I want to capture - then open screen capture - -- what benefit does the application choices give you - just tried it for the first time and it is confusing me no end - seems to always open the selected application full screen and you still have to manually adjust it

Yep that has always been an option, a quick test and for me it works ok.
But I prefer to capture video to 16:9 ratio, a standard size. Usually set 1280 x 720 as my capture size then adjust the target to match, if you get my drift. Then the captured video is a standard size.
I cannot use 1920 x 1080 as screen is not large enough.

Thanks for confirming. Your suggestion about being patient is correct, the Drop Down Menu options do appear, eventually.
Frustrating because my setup is usually pretty quick, and having to hang about for 4 or 5 seconds for a response is just not on!

For what its worth I have escalated this issue to Corel, I am sure they will fix, sometime?
In the meantime you could use the Screen Capture for X9, I don’t see any difference other than its quicker……..
