Just wondering if there is a way to 'zoom in' the Preview Area, where everything is moved around and lined up.
It is usually a smaller 'window' and I could not immediately see a way to increase the magnification of it (similar to the Zoom view in PaintShopPro, for example), to help with lining things up properly.
Is such a thing possible in VSx10?
Thanks

Re: Zoom In the Preview Area? (For more exact positioning)
Hi
There is no means to zoom into the preview window but we can resize the window increasing its size. Not sure if this will help …….
Try dragging the sides of the screen
We can also detach the screen to float over the workstation
Rearrange the layout
Save the layout via Settings – Layout Settings
And when it gets confused, hit F7 to set default layout.

Dragging the sides of the preview screen around may not be a satisfactory solution - if you are changing the width/height relationship when dragging you may also be changing the relative positions of items onscreen
Videostudio allows you to use an additional screen and some users have a larger monitor just for the preview window and I believe one user has a full size TV as the preview window

Re: Zoom In the Preview Area? (For more exact positioning)
Hi Brian
Dragging the sides of the preview screen merely resizes the screen, it makes it larger.
It does not change the aspect of any clips and does not change the relative locations of items.
As I said in original post Not sure if this will help …….
But making it larger should help and should make it easier to reposition those clips.

Re: Zoom In the Preview Area? (For more exact positioning)
I'm still using VSX 9.5 Ultimate. When I view the preview screen, I always turn on the "HD" option so the image and text are 'sharper'. But, to my dismay, the developers didn't give us the ability to actually "do anything" while previewing. Such as, adjusting the length of a green text bar or moving its position, slightly, etc. The preview screen only allows previewing without being able to edit. I don't know what VSX10 offers.

Re: Zoom In the Preview Area? (For more exact positioning)
Thanks for all of the input!
Lata and Mr.Cee, you are both correct, the Preview Window edges (layout interface edges) can be dragged to make it bigger. The Preview Area can also be "Enlarged" by clicking on the icon that looks like two overlapping Windows in the lower-right, which makes it 'full screen' - that would be great on a huge cheap TV second monitor, yes
However, both of these show, at most, a "100%" Zoom (they do not 'zoom in further' expanding/interpolating the pixels (moving the edges of the project 'past' the edges of the Preview area - with loss of quality of course - as Graphic Editors would do) so that more precise movement could be made). Still, the Enlarge detachment is handy.
Perhaps this is something for The Wishlist...
Old_Friend, in x10 they have added the ability to adjust things in the Player/Preview Area [to some extent]. +1 for this, Corel!
You can click on "Clip" in the Player Navigation Panel just below, or Double-Click on a project element, which now enters you into a positioning mode for a component (move it around, resize, etc) in x10 - but you cannot access anything 'behind' the Preview window if it is Enlarged.
Perhaps you could if the Enlarged window was put on a separate Monitor (if it does not 'lock out' the rest of the interface), but I do not have a second monitor to test this, at this time.
Thanks anyway for letting me know, everyone, that I wasn't just missing something obvious for 'zooming' it in (as I am sometimes known to do)
