Paint Shop 9 script errors

some scripts error out in Windows 8.1 but work fine on Windows 7; seems to be to do with a selection command; 'command could not be completed because the selection type is not supported . . . yet it works fine on the Windows 7 and XP PRO systems.

could this be an update problem on the laptop??? Having trouble finding updates for the PSP Pro version 9; only found for version X9

Are you talking about version 9 (the old JASC one) or X9?

The error in the script output palette should have some text in red. If you copy and paste ALL that red text in here, it could help.

Also what is the script? Did you contact the author of the script? Sometimes, an updated version of a script is available so you might be able to get it from the author. I do scripts, and on occasion, a user will contact me with an odd behavior and with the error information, i can usually figure out a way to tweak the code to get it to work.
