Features not working after windows updates

Post by myfordboy »

I am still using Video studio X4 which does everything I need. Recent windows updates prevented the program opening but I used a suggestion from this forum
and added MUIHelper update and it now starts OK.
However a couple of things are not working as before.
Ripple editing, although enabled does not work.
When text is added the text fades in when played back and I don't see an option to change this.
Any ideas?

Hi

Can you be more specific in what Ripple Editing is doing, any warning messages etc.
If the program has been affected by windows updates then there is little we can do…

Text fades

Double click the text clip on timeline to open options panel.
Attributes tab – is Animation and Apply selected

Deselect Apply will remove the animation.
Or choose another animation option.
Note…….the “TT” symbol allows us to manually set animations.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Fade was indeed selected. A setting I have never used before.
All working correctly now.
The issue with the ripple editing is also solved. I don't know how. Previously when I added another clip into the time line it was acting as if ripple edit was not selected.
Thank you for the advice.
