Just bought VideoStudio Ultimate X10

Post by e_a_g_l_e_p_i »

It downloaded and installed but when I open it I get a windows that says service pack 1 is ready I click download, it goes through the regular download and install process. I can open VideoStudio Ultimate X10 and I have only tried to watch some of the tutorials and VideoStudio Ultimate X10 seems to open fine. when I minimize it or close it there is a message window saying VideoStudio Ultimate X10 is running in the background cancel or try again ????

Seems that it is one problem after another, I'm thinking I shouldn't have bought a new version yet... :( I'm sorry but I forget this person's name, I remember he was really good with the versions 4,5 and 6 I am sure he is using or testing 10 he was from Thailand I believe he was a bodybuilder and an actor if you are still here please reply so I can reconnect with you. If anyone knows can you tell me his username I know he has a website too.

I'm sure there are a lot of very experienced people here and I wasn't implying anything different this guy was a really nice guy and we communicated all the time but it's been years.

Hi

Sorry but I am not a body builder nor am I from Thailand.

But now that you have had time to close and open the program and probably re-booted the pc are you still seeing the message regarding Video Studio running?

Most users may see that message as the Service Pack pops up after launching the program, then we click to install the SP, and the message shows, close video studio, a little patience whilst the device manager clears the program, then try re-installing the service pack.

If you get that message again that Video Studio is still running, then open Windows Task Manager and go into Background Processes. Scroll down until you find Corel Video Studio, then right click and select End Task.

That worked !! it's kind of weird, I open VideoStudio Ultimate X10 the update pops up, you'd think it would say close VideoStudio Ultimate X10 and then proceed with the update. Nonetheless I got it installed by following your instructions I appreciated very much.

I want to address this to make it clear to everyone I wasn't implying that the person who lived in Thailand and was a bodybuilder and an actor was the only person who could help me I was just trying to reconnect with him as well hoping he would see my post. I don't remember his name or his username but he was very helpful to me and a real nice guy.

I feel very confident that any problems I run into if I post them here there is plenty of people experience enough to help me, once again I was just trying to reconnect with him that's why I described. Hope everyone understands and then take it wrong.

Yes Gripps does some excellent tutorials but he has not posted on these forums very much lately I believe he now concentrates much more on his Youtube channel and also does a lot for 'Studio Backlot' - you may find you have a link to a free trial of that on your desktop since installing X10
