Hello everybody,
when I let the cropping tool snap to guides, the edges of the cropping tool are one pixel off to the guide lines - but only when I move an edge of the cropping tool afterwards or change its size. It works fine when I draw the cropping frame the first time.
These are the steps to reproduce the issue:
- open an image or create a new one
- set a guide
- activate the cropping tool
- enable Snap To Guides
- draw a cropping frame and let it snap to the guide
- rescale the cropping frame, e.g. grab the edge over the guide and move it a bit and then let it snap again to the guide
Here is a screenshot (guide is at 552 px, but cropping tool at 553 px)

In addition a video:

I have this issue since a very long time - means years.
Has anybody noticed the same issue? Is there any solution available?
I'm using PSP 19.2.0.7 x64 and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with a AMD Radeon HD 6850.
For any answer many thanks in advance,
Ravelli

Re: Cropping tool after rescaling one pixel off to guide
I could only get it to snap to the guides when first drawing the crop area. When I changed the crop area by dragging the node over the Guide line away from it the crop rectangle did not snap back again,. However it did snap back in Jasc PSP 8. So would seem that this was another feature dropped when Corel modified the code

Hi Ravelli,
and what happens when you modify the Guide Snap Influence (under Grid, Guide & Snap Properties) ?

Hello Hartpaul and Jean-Luc,
many thanks for your replies.
@Hartpaul: Does your cropping tool does not snap back at all on re-scaling it? Or do you have the 1 px offset like me?
@Jean-Luc: Sadly changing Guide Snap Influence does not fix it. Just tested it with setting it to 1 px and 30 px.
Btw: It is the same when I try to adjust vector objects along guides.

Re: Cropping tool after rescaling one pixel off to guide
I set the snap to guide value at 100 pixels to make sure I got the effect. And no it did not snap after rescaling the crop rectangle. Not in X2 or X9

Re: Cropping tool after rescaling one pixel off to guide
Since I began this thread, I installed a new graphic card and other new hardware, and also upgraded to PSP 20.2.0.1 x64.
The cropping tool is getting worse one by one: The problem described above remains unchanged. In addition the rulers change to a wrong scaling as soon I select the cropping tool. Then the guides are in a wrong position, and can not be used for letting the cropping tool snap: http://www.torsten-funk.de/content/proj ... _a_big.png
