4k exporting. Different flavours.

Post by spudgun »

Hey guys. So, this latest version of Videostudio.seems pretty cool to me.

Alas, when editing and sharing 4k footage there is a wealth of options. Do you guys consider it best to export as "same as project properties/same as first clip" or do you select one of the other options? Native footage is MP4 so MPEG 4 seems the viable option.

Also. As I intend to contribute to Microstock agencies, who require their footage as MOV format, would it be better to export in this format or use conversion software to convert MPEG4 to MOV Quicktime?

Thank you for your help.

This all depends on how you want to archive and play back your finished product. 4K takes up a LOT of space unless you have the hardware and Win10 to export H265, with creates much smaller files.
I would also find out what specific resolution M$ wants the footage in besides MOV container. Then export in that format. If you want full resolution archive, save as project properties/first clip.
