VideoStudiox10 Hangs On install

Can anyone tell me why the installation of this program hangs when it reaches the position as in the picture here attached. I did cancel at this position earlier but then had problems trying to update the service pack. Also note that everything on the previous install had been removed, PC rebooted before starting Install again. Thanks In Advance.

OK have managed to solve this problem by unchecking the bonus software Box. But still have this error. This was why in the first place I decided to remove the program then reinstall it because maybe this fault was down to the program not fully installing which it has now done. I do have a few ideas so will continue until someone replies to this post. Thanks In advance again. Just In case not made apparent this system is 64 bit Windows 8.1.

The Bonus Features are the Ultimate packages, the ProDad stuff.

Most are FX templates Mercalli, Adorage, RotoPen, Script, and Vitascene.

Have these installed ok.

If it is a problem with the Web Installer ( Stub) then we can manually install the pack by double clicking the file setup_Bonus.exe from your downloaded installation files\64bit\BonusFeature folder.
Try right click and Run As Admin…..

Does that install without errors.

If not it may be one of the packages that has a problem with Windows 8.1?????????????????

It gets worse as I continue, There are so many problems now coming through I am going to completely uninstall it again, and will try the admin part of things as I believe that is more likely to be the problem thanks for the help will be back let you know how I get on. I have never had so much trouble with an install Of Corel Video Studio and certainly not happy with the time this has taken. Will uninstall everything. Then try yet again.

Try using the Cleanup tool to uninstall the program, this may do a better job on registry?

Then remove the 20.0 folder before installing.
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\20.0

Hi Trevor I have never known a program like this In all the different versions I have had I have never come across such a ridiculous set of problems as this one, Tried all of it running as admin that comes up saying the program is broken or damaged. So removed, PC restarted. I have even tried shutting the computer down and restarting after the removal process reinstall but as soon as you try to load in the updates up comes the error box yet again. Another problem I found is if you do not uncheck the Bonus features box the program on install will hang there forever so I thought, Install the program first which it does with success and then install the bonus features later however because of this error there is no point doing that. But I installed it again. Again i opened the program as Admin the program loaded up i was then able to install the update so now all is working perfectly... Ummm Not! Now I have another problem which is due to the libraries

Triple Scoop Music
Every time you click on this it starts loading library then you get the Message Corel Video Studio has stopped working.
Before the Update Triple Scoop Music would get almost to the end and just hang until the program is shut down and had to be restarted.

Muserk Sound Effect OK although you are presented with a horrid amount of thumbnails of SFX you are expected to buy

So i expect that the security privileges In windows 8 seem set up for admin.. But running the program as Admin there is still a problem with it crashing through Triple Scoop Music ?

Hi Trevor just to let you know I ran the program for a bit played around on a few screens and the Triple Scoop music opened and started behaving.. So really all is now up and running so all sorted. Had this not worked I would have used your ideas but i will download that clean up tool anyway. Thanks for the help Yet again!
