HELP -- Video Studio instant project template files

Post by coreldb »

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I've done several searches & can't find instructions that work for me. I had a major computer crash & needed to reinstall all of my programs. I have the files for the instant project templates that I downloaded for Video Studio X4, but I would like to add them back in to my X 9 (which I had previously done). Please give me simple step by step instructions -- I read something that said to use the ".exe" but I don't see where that is (double-clicking doesn't do it) Do I need to re-install EACH template one by one, or can I just move all of the templates into the proper folder & they will work (am hoping for that option!) Thanks!!! db

Hi

Instant project templates are saved here in their appropriate folder.
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

If you copy your IP folders to this folder they should show in the Instant Projects library.
When first selecting the library it will update the contents.

Otherwise you can import any Instant Project to the library using the Folder option at the top “ Import a Project Template”

Thanks for your reply... now I guess my question is about the files -- I guess I'm not sure the files I'm trying to add back to my program are indeed instant project files! Below I have listed some of the names... can you tell me if the VSPTemplate folder you mentioned is actually where they belong, or do they belong somewhere else...

001_HD-Project (& many others with a different number at the beginning of the name 002 -020)
2 PICTURES
3 BLOCKS
4 IN 1 fade intro
5BALOONS
Blue Panels
Bonus Content

etc etc

Thank You!!!

Hi

The Bonus Content was downloaded from the Corel Guide – Do-More called Free Samples…
The folder contains sample files Images, Video, Audio etc.
These are not Instant Projects.
They are sample clips that can be used by importing to your library, Import Media Files.

The others do look like Instant Projects, certainly the 001_HD-Project and 4 in 1 fade intro, although the later needs a bit of tweaking to set timings? The others do look ok.

The Instant projects folder contains several files, two are project files, a vsp and vpt.
You can open the template in video studio by double clicking the VSP.
If you like the effect then copy the templates folder to the VSPTemplate folder
Otherwise you are gonna add a lot that you will not use.
