Particle Shop in PSPX9

Post by trueblue »

Does anyone here use Particle Shop in PSPX9, if so, is it working correctly for you?

I followed a Corel video on YouTube and tried similar in PSPX9, however the image does not transfer into Particle Shop. Anyone know how to fix this please?

I have Particle Shop and it works in PSPX9 64-bit. Which video? If you post a link I'll try it and let you know if it works.

Hi Kathy, the video in question shows how an image is used with scripts and particle shop. I was only interested from the part she used particle shop. I did exactly what she did but my image did not show in particle shop at all. I've tried so many times.
Particle Shop installs into Corel PSP folder on C/Programs...... I point PSP from File Locations to the folder. Particle Shop shows in the plugins list and I can open it but no image follows over. I'm confused why it just won't work. Obviously I must be doing something wrong!

I have particle shop in :
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X9 (64-bit)\PlugIns\EN

When I load an image and do Effects > Plug ins > Painter > Particleshop
Or Effects > Particleshop, it takes about 15 seconds to transfer over. I sometimes thought nothing was happening but it eventually loaded. I checked Task Manager and it showed Particleshop 1 as operating.

Working fine here on PSPX9 and Win10 1703 64-bit. When starting it recommends a duplicate layer, and then starts.

Thanks everyone for your input.
I knew I was doing something wrong. I didn't direct PSPS plugins to the photoshop plugin folder (I find this very odd that we have to access a photoshop folder), anyway, it's now working fine.
When I initially installed it I was given an update straight away with extra brushes, since uninstalling/reinstalling I'm not getting access to an update. I'll keep persevering until it happens.

What Photoshop folder? I have my plug-in file location pointed to C:\Program Files\Corel\ParticleShop.

I am guessing that trueblue has ugh! Photoshop installed and that she obtained Particleshop separately from the Corel Offering. When the separate version was installed it would go an set up a folder linked to Photoshop.

My version of Particleshop came down through Corel and as such the Corel version installed in a Corel folder as mentioned in my previous post . (It would be silly for a Corel version of a program to search for Photoshop and install in a Photoshop folder).
