Configuring Videostudio X10 for UHD 4k Editing

Post by spudgun »

Hello my fine friends.
Can anyone advise whether or not there are any particular configurations or tweaks that one needs to do to Videostudio in order to edit 4k video? I have just acquired the latest software with a good spec computer, but there doesn't seem to be much around on configuration. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Click all the performance options in the settings; this should improve speed when Saring/Rendering. This is not a 4K feature, but 4K does require more performance. Also, if your pc stutters when previewing 4K clips, consider using proxy files.

Many thanks for that my friend. I had seen some videos of earlier versions of videostudio that suggested amending things like the proxy video settings and also the project properties settings? But these appear to be different under the latest X10 flavour.
