My feeling has always been that it is an echo too. You don't hear it when playing back on the time line, however, it is there when you render and also there when you scrub the timeline. You can be just past where the audio clip ends on the time line and still hear it.

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
All,
Apologies for not providing all info on last posting. Yes, the "Blip Clip" only appears on rendering, regardless of format (WAV, MP4 or DVD). VS9 Ultimate was used to create. I have six such blips in a 30 minute production. Also, to repeat, if I eliminate the overlay in audio track 2 (i.e., if I delete the first audio file OR if I separate it so there is no overlay), the blip disappears. Further, if I substantially reduce the length of the first of the 2 audio files in audio track 2 (still keeping the overlay), the blip diminishes but is still present.

Hi
This link will download the hot fix for 64 bit and 32 bit systems.
The 4 files should replace the files in
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10
You should first rename the originals by adding Old to the names, this will allow you to revert back.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
Bill please confirm you are using CVSX9, the problem occurs using x8,x9 and x10
So far only a fix for CVSX10.5 has been provided.
Ilene have you applied the hot fix to your program?
I tested your IP projects, remember those, the blips were clear.

I have not. Been waiting on hearing from you.
I am running 10... not 10.5
If I'm following you correctly these files can replace the files in 10? I wasnt planning to install a whole new version?

CVSX10.5 is the latest Service Pack, just an update, your system would prompt you to automatically install that.Ilene wrote:I have not. Been waiting on hearing from you.

Your version number should be X10.5.0.60
The hot fix can only be applied to X10.5.0.60

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
Ok... I was under the impression that 10.5 was a new install
The hot fix then is not included w the update?
Can you outline the steps... sorry -- all confused -- and don't want to upset the apple cart with my work flow. The last thing i need is to lose all my libraries and presets and start re-building my program. Always a nightmare upgrading fr version to version

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
Hi Ilene
The hot fix contains 4 files
HerDocdll.dll, ulmp4lib.dll, ulRender.dll and uRenderA.dll
Locate the same files within C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10
Rename those example, uRenderA old.dll, do the same for each existing file, that creates your backup copy.
Then Paste the new versions to the same folder.
You are simply replacing the existing files with a new version.
Sorry but do not have much time to do much more at the moment, we have our grandson (3 years old) that needs my attention.
I'm off to play.............

I have asked Corel if a similar fix will be provided for CVSX9, awaiting their reply.

Hi Trevor
Good news.
Followed your instructions to replace the files linked to for X10.5. Revisited the Ozark-K2-blip.vsp, rendered the project to a WAV file and listened to the sound track blip free. The Audacity file does not show the end blip either (not surprising!).
Care has to be taken when renaming/replacing the files because of similarity in file names.
Hope the fix works across the board. (One swallow...my glass is always half... ??)

Yep I also had to be careful when renaming the files, I think the Render one was my issue., Should have mentioned that?

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
All,
I broke down and upgraded to 10.5 and then re-rendered. Problem remains. I would like to try the "hot fix" to see if it will help. How to do this?
Thanks,
Bill

I have renamed orig files, downloaded and copied to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10 the four files on Google Drive.
I restarted VSPx10.5 and re-rendered.
Problem remains.
What a PITA!
