Hi John
Sorry but no PM message from you.
I had problems attaching any file to PM's, so may be a forum limitation.
If you zip the VSP and attach to your post we can pick it up from here
Oh you will also have to do the same with your silent wav file.

Hi Trevor
Having problems attaching, it says too big, reduce size and it says still too big!!??
The email I sent with the attachment was using my wife's email address, just in case you do not recognize the email.
I'll keep trying to find a way here.

Hi Trevor
Tried a different route, I have replied to a previous communication and attached a OneDrive link.
Why does the Corel forum have such miniscule attachment limits?
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I have a degree in this nonsense. OK, it's a few years ago, but even so....

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
Hi John
Using your workround and adding the silent audio clip there is a slight blip, hardly noticeable a wiggle on the wave form, but playback and I still hear the blip.
If you have CVSX7 then that version does not cause any problems. Seems to be associated with X8, X9 and 10.
https://1drv.ms/u/s!ApBs8FwBwJ5ji1w_mk2ZHiw2_tEb
This is saved for X7 but will open in later versions, rendering using X7 is clean.

Hi Trevor
The X7 Test. VSP you link to does exhibit the glitch when rendered.
I have linked an amended version of the X7 Test.VSP that does not appear to show a glitch.
For the benefit of others; I put the Silence.mp3 clip beneath the song audio clip, increased the fade out for the song and increased the fade in ramp to Silence.mp3.
Sorry I do not have X7, it is in X10 format.

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
How do I cut original video size? What software would you recommend so I can get it to size that will download on One Drive?
VS refers back to the original length for short clip in project that has a problem. Or am I not seeing how VS does this?
thanks,
Candy

Hi Candy
Not sure what you are asking.
I have little success making Smart Packages and uploading, but Trevor advised, and it worked, to tick the "Include all unused trackers in the project" in the Smart Package options popup.
I also choose the Zip option. This helps minimise the size.
If you then send the package to OneDrive and get the link (put into the Clipboard automatically) you can paste that link to a message to Trevor. From memory there is a right mouse click in the process somewhere.

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
Hi Candy
The only way is to record shorter video.
If you cut and convert the video clip to a shorter length, that would work if you can replicate the blip using the shorter video.
One Drive has a file limit of 2 Gb, I think? so your file will upload, but will take a while, downloading should be faster, so yes you can try uploading the file.
We do of course download the actual program, each package being over 1 Gb.
I think I understand the problem you had when creating the Smart Package.
The process first requests that we save the project, that saves the VSP as normal.
It then prompts us to name the smart Package and Project, then creates a new folder containing the files, it is the folder that needs zipping and uploading, adjacent to that folder will be the VSP saved first, that is not required. I think you chose that VSP not the folder, easily done.
Give it a go to see how long uploading takes you.

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
I tried to use a "silence" audio clip and did not find it successful. Audio glitch still there but it did sound a little different
I made the silent audio file in VS so that may have been the problem. I opened a new VS project, put a 3 second mp3 on my audio track, I muted the track and rendered out an mp4 audio file. The file sounded completed quiet on playback. I out it underneath the offending spot, faded in and out... the fades were less than a second because the spot occurs where i looped a song so a long ramp just doesnt work. In any event, it didnt seem to work.
Can we add john's silence clip to the one drive? I can try it.
FYI... Trevor... i finished the project i sent you the other day. It's 9 1/2 min long. The only audio glitches are at 4:00, 3:46 (where the loop is) and at the end, the final fade out. The end song fades out on its own... i went to the absolute end of song and yet there is still a glitch!!! It's like the song repeats itself for a nano- second. Goes quiet and the offensive scratch
For the end, i removed the fade out. For the other 2 glitches, i replaced w mp4's created in a new project file using same audio tracks. I copied the audio tracks fr my project file to my library. Opened a new project. Brought the audio tracks in. Rendered as mp4 and brought back in to orig project. This has been the most reliable solution thus far but doesnt always work.
We need a response fr Corel on this asap! 2 hours of additional work to troubleshoot these glitches.
Thanks

Hi Ilene
Disappointing you are still having problems.
Please try the attached, it is an mp3 file made in Audacity, title self explanatory.
The very short fade out / fade in may be contributary to the glitch.

I'm away for the holiday, will check when i get back! Thanks
Bottom line... no reason why you can't have two clips overlap where the fade in/out is less than a second.
Nothing that i havent done for years using this software
Just an issue w x8,9 and 10
Thanks for the help! I can only hope it works!

Re: X9 Pro audio fade out causes scratchy blip
hi John..
tried your silence MP3 clip and unfortunately, it doesn't fix the problem. The blip/glitch is still there. I tried overlapping your clip on both tracks, I tried the silence clip on a 3rd track under the glitch area and to no avail. The blip/glitch sounds different when I move your clip around, but I cannot get it to go away. Normal timeline playback, you don't hear it. YOu only hear it on render, which leaves me to believe, and confirm what I thought from the beginning that this is a problem w the render engine.
any word back from Corel yet??
thanks
Ilene
