Upgrade MF4 Standard to Disk Creator???

Post by tarbox23 »

I demoed MF4 and loved it.

So I bought it. I bought the Standard edition, not aware that the demo was the fuller Disk Creator edition.

I would like to upgrade to the Disk Creator version.

I am worried if I go to upgrade, I will not only be wasting $15 ($50 + $65 is $115, versus $100 ) - but also it will not even let me upgrade (according to the upgrade policy....) - I would hate to spend MORE money AND get burned!

Anyway, a stupid error on my part to not just buy the full Disk Creator edition. But how can I upgrade easily? I have purchased the online version.

I would hate to have to 'return' it, get a refund, and then buy the full version.

Is there an easier way to just upgrade? I see nothing on your site, and have searched these forums to no avail....

Thank you.... I love Ulead....

What additional features were in the trial version that aren't in the standard version? Just curious.

If you use the serial number and either call Ulead or submit an email
to them (tech-support) they will help you.
Also, you should still have the link for element 5 where you downloaded the program
from. Contact element 5 to change the purchase.

I have had to contact element 5 for some similar problems and they fixed everything.

Do it now though and don't wait.

If you don't know the serial number re-install MF4 and on one of the screens
that says "Username" & "Company" right below that is the serial number in
a greyed out box(s). Write that number down. Then cancel the install.

You will be able to upgrade from DMF4 standard to Disc creator but you have to but the Disc Creator upgrade.

I would follow maddrummer's suggestion of asking element 5 or Ulead Cust. Serv. for a product replacement.
Who? Me?

Thanks for your replies.

I sent a message to Element5 customer service, and hopefully they can just alter my order. Good plan.

The reason I want the pricier Disc Creator version is that when I demoed it, I was able to use it like Roxio and burn even data DVDs and CDs.... I would just rather have ONE dvd and cd app on my pc, to handle all my disk burning. The Standard version would not let me just pick files to pop onto a dvd.

In my experience, the more apps on a system that do the same thing, the more errors and conflicts result. The $50 is worth it to me to have one program that handles everything I need in my dvd drive, from video creation to backing up documents....

Thanks for the help fellas....
