Hello!
I have following problem: When i capture a MINI-DV Cassette, and there is 10 seconds no timecode or video, MF7 stopps automatically and burn DVD
On some Cassettes, there is maybe after 30 seconds a new video. So the capture import stops and can not record the whole tape. The function "Full DV Tape" have the same sympthom
How can i increase the time?
thanks in advance

Re: MF7 capture question
I haven't used MF to capture, but what you need to look for is a "capture whole tape" option, or removal of "split by timecode" option.
If you can't find these, then using another capture utility would be best.
As you are using Win 7, you may have windows live photo gallery already installed, you can use this to capture and then make your disc with MF as normal.

Re: MF7 capture question
Hi
I do not think you can increase the time, I suspect that your Mini DV Tape has not got a continuous timecode, so when we lose the video stream it terminates capture.
New Mini DV tapes should be recorded from beginning to end to embed a time code, usually with the camera lens covered.
Then subsequent recordings will be ok as there is no break in timecode.

Re: MF7 capture question
Thanks for your answers!
I use the software MF7 (and also MF4) for copy many MINI-DV Tapes to DVD. In rare cases, the user wind the cassette not exactly to the end of the film. So in some cassettes there are 1 minute pause without timecode.
Corel MovieFactory is the best and fastest solution to record Direct to DVD, without importing, rendering....

Recording "Direct to DVD" is the worst solution and in the long run may be the slowest.stefangaisb wrote:Thanks for your answers!

Even if the "Direct to DVD" works it still has to do the importing and rendering to make the video DVD compliant. If there are any gaps the capture may stop and you have another ruined DVD.
