Hi

Try using Smart Proxy for your MTS files.

Go to Settings Smart Proxy Manager, tick Enable Smart Proxy

Insert your MTS files to the library, use a new library page for your files.
Shift + Click to select your files
Right click clip selection and choose Create Smart Proxy files.
Takes a while to render, view settings Smart Proxy Queue Manager to view progress.

When complete Shift Click clips to select all
Right click for Multi Camera Editing—opens the editor.

Timeline playback should improve when using Smart Proxy.

Does that improve things?

Actually i have tried smart proxy early.
First enable smart proxy (setting menu smart proxy manager)
Insert file to created library
- shift click select all file
- right click and select files and create smart proxy file
- selected all and click ok (a window appear)
But in the Smart Proxy Queue Manager windows is blank, no file in the list !
Btw, thks for your help.

Hi

The YouTube video is showing the process to create Smart Proxy, but something is wrong there,--- no proxy files are being saved? I have no idea why?

To create Smart Proxy files.

1 / go to Settings – Smart Proxy Manager- tick Enable Smart Proxy
Also from (F6) Settings - Preferences – Performance tab – leave all as default settings,(auto generate and Enable Smart Proxy should be ticked) you can select a different Proxy Folder.
2 / Adding video to the timelines having a larger frame size than 720 x *** ( as set in Performance tab) will have proxy files automatically created.
3 / To manually create proxy files, from library or existing timeline content, Right click any video clip and choose Create Smart Proxy Files. (shift+ click to select adjacent files)
4 / Proxy files do take a while to create so we can view the progress via Settings – Smart Proxy Queue Manager, here we can see the selected files.
5 / Once created the new proxy files should show in Settings - Smart Proxy File Manager, these files will have a similar name to the original video files.
In addition a small icon can be seen on all clips using proxy files, as image below.
