Hi!
I am a newbie using Corel PSP X6 (64-bit) running under Windows 7 Pro (Service Pack 1).
I have a 24 in by 36 in image saved a PNG file, which was converted from an SVG file. I want to end with a 7200 px by 10800 px (77.76 Mpx) JPG file. The file will be used for a 24 in by 36 in giclee print on canvas.
How do I do it?
FYI, for vector images, I use Inkscape 0.91.
Thank you!
Doctor T

1) Open the image in PSP
2) File - > Save As
3) Select "JPG" from the file type drop-down list
4) Change the name if you want
5) Hit Save
You now have a JPG file.

Dear LeviFiction,
Thank you for your reply.
Where do I specify the Hpx, Wpx, and PPI?

However, you may not have to resize it, but you haven't provided sufficient information to tell. Is the PNG image already 7200 x 10800 pixels? If so, what is the present PPI of the PNG (you can get that info from Image>Image Information). If that shows the PPI at which you wish to have the image, and if that shows the image print size to be 24x36 inches, then no resizing is necessary. It just has to be saved as a jpg.
Why do you need to convert it to jpg if it is already in PNG format. Is there some reason that you can't make your giclee print from a PNG image? You will lose some image information by converting to a lossy format like jpg.

Dear Joe,
Thank you for your reply.
I'll play with it and see what happens. I am trying to avoid re-sizing.
I need a JPG because some printing services do not accept PNG fiiles.

Re: How to save a PNG file as a JPG file
If the printing service you're using doesn't accept PNG it will likely accept tiff, which is also lossless. So you could save as a tif file instead. You should check with the printing service you plan to use. And make sure you check out the image information of the PNG file first and, if you have any questions about that information, post back.DoctorT wrote:Dear Joe,
