G'day,
If I have an imaged opened and I want to Promote it The Promote Background layer is not highlighted and I cannot do it. what can I do to get it Highlighted. I tried with the Layer Pallet and also right clicking the Raster Layer image.

If you have loaded 1 image and have the layers palette visible then that layer should already be highlighted and show as blue. Right click that layer and just above Merge should be Promote Background Layer. Choose that.

Is the layer named "Background"? If not, then it is already promoted.

As Levi said, yes. And that means that if you erase or cut out a portion of that image layer it will reveal transparency until you place another image layer underneath it, at which time the lower layer will be exposed through the portion of the upper layer that had a portion removed.Aussie Perry wrote:G'day,
