Hi
I get similar results to Kens findings, although I only see one frame, the video does not seem to play acting like an image.
I tried to convert using Format Factory which crashed with an error relating to an unsupported format.
Rev you mentioned Sorenson Squeeze version 9, did you use that program to convert your video files?

Hi
The test.avi posted by Revup67 plays in both Clip and Project Modes on my system.
At first sight it looks like a still image only, but if you monitor the clock numbers top left they do change. The Timeline shows a duration of 3.26 s, MediaInfo shows a duration of 3 s 895 ms.
There must have been little/no wind because the ferns are rock steady.

Re: VideoCam System AVI files don't import to Corel VS U10
I couldn't do anything with the test clip as supplied, on any of my pc's, even my editing one, which has plenty of codecs on.
I couldn't get Handbrake to load it to convert, but I could use freemake, which converted it to an MP4 file and then this could be used in any app I had, VS, Edius, Premiere etc.
