After downloading PSP Pro X9 with all the extra content, on trying to open this Particle Shop plug in I got the following message
Partic~1.exe-System error
The programme can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0. Dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the prog to fix this problem
I reinstalled then got the same message under the heading of
ParticleShopEditor.exe-System Error.
Help please

Re: ParticleShop Plug install problem
This appears to be a C++ library.
Download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017 (64-bit) and install it.
It's not the first error of this type we've seen here.

See the Windows 10 Creators Update topic on this boad for a livewire link that explains all of the different ways to approach a missing C++ run-time dll like this.

Re: ParticleShop Plug install problem
I visited https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... 0f5ee=True and downloaded Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.I did not know which option to choose. When I tried to open Particle Shop , I got the message it can’t start because api-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this
Problem. Is this my only option (and the solution) or do I download the other 2 options ?

Re: ParticleShop Plug install problem
I have downloaded the appropriate file for win 7 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=49093 which overwrote the existing file and restarted the PC.Got the same message that the file I have downloaded was missing from my PC.I reinstalled Particle Shop which made no difference. So what do I do now apart from giving up on this issue?

Re: ParticleShop Plug install problem
Start googling using the error messages. That's what I would be doing.
At this stage I have not had any problems with installing and using PSP or particle shop. I note one of the problems was that you needed an update of Visual C.
It may be that a lot of problems occur because users have not updated their computers to the latest versions or have ignored updates.
So perhaps check for updates first before installing new programs.

Thanks to Corel support
I used the above link to download Windows update KB2999226(in my case win 7 referred).
This resolved my Particle Shop problem.
