Taking a Snapshot from a clip in X10

Post by Terfyn »

I am having a problem getting X10 to create a snapshot from a clip. I carried out the same action in X9 without any problem. Can't work out why it is not happening in X10. Any ideas?

Hi terfyn

Depending on the frame size of your video may give different results when taking a snapshot in Clip Mode and project Mode

In Clip mode the snapshot uses the frame size of the actual video

In Project mode the snapshot is taken from the project settings, and infact takes a snapshot of what you see in the preview screen.

Is it not happening at all - or is it you can't find them

on my pc regardless of the working folder set for the project every snapshot goes to C:\Users\Brian\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\X10.0

Hi Brian

Strange, for me all snapshots are saved to my Working Folder, actually on another drive.

Problem solved. The "snapshot" icon, on the library page, was not switched on. Every time I tried to take a snapshot the final video clip in the library was highlighted (as if the snapshot was connected to the video clip) Switching on the "snapshot" icon showed the stills as per normal. My mistake.
Thank you both for your answers.
