Special Offer for VideoStudio Ultimate x10 - $24.99!

I have been using VideoStudio Ultimate X8 for a while. I happened to be doing some capture today and when I exited the program, a special offer popped up for Ultimate X10 at 24.99!

NOTE: This is a special pop-up window from within the program - the link takes you to a special web page. This offer does not appear to be available by just going to the Corel website. I don't know whether or not if you close this pop-up and exit the program, it will reappear.

ALSO: The offer is for the full version. If you select upgrade, you get the $79 price.

I called Corel to ask why the upgrade would be more than just starting from scratch with the full version; couldn't get a clear answer other than this was a limited time offer.

I jumped on it, did the download and installed.

Don't know how long it will last, but if you're looking to upgrade, see if this works for you.

This outstanding offer came up a couple of weeks ago when exiting X8 and so I'm now running X10 as well.

Hmm... I use VS9 and haven't seen any pop-up offers, so looks like this is only for VS8

When I exited VS9 this morning there was a message window offering me the U10 upgrade... for $79.99, not the 24.99 already mentioned... I guess Corel is more interested in getting VS8 owners to upgrade

WOOT!! Just got the message while exiting VS8 Ultimate. For $25USD I went for it - also added $10USD to get the DVD mailed to me (I hate download stub installers).

I've searched the forum but haven't found the answer I KNOW was asked: where does the VSX10 stub installer place all of the install files prior to executing the installation?

POST SCRIPT: just found the thread with the answer.

I saw this offer too. I went to the cart, added it and then outlook popped up in front and the window vanished.

it's not from VS8X/9X, it's from Paint Shop Pro I keep getting it and it's once a day or something.

So annoying.

The offer appears in VSX8, but not VSX9, as I have both. As mentioned by someone else, when you go to the page, you can't find it and Corel acts as though they know nothing about it. I just called again and they want a screen shot of the offer!

Well I see a 49% deal from x9 but not x8
Not very good when there was a 75% deal via X5 and X6
The deals may not always show but viewing Help – Messages could help, otherwise “Check for Updates" then messages again.

although the message screen via X6 did not display correctly, the links worked and I had no problems accessing the shopping cart

I don't get any deal on my tweaked 19.2.
When does it pop? on launch or close?

It launches on close. I too, get the 49% on 9, but the 75% only appears on 8. I'm having issue with both a 8 and 9, which is why I decided to try 10. I did the 10 trial download, but it won't open,. which will be another thread!

It happened yet again! Seems as though it happens every 5th to 7th time you close the X8 Ultimate program after editing. This time I took a screen shot and clicked the purchase button. The cart offers you options. The download version is 24.99. You can select "box" but it goes to 79.99 when you do. They make it confusing, in that the page actually directs your eyes to the "Free Trial" button. You have to look to the right of the page to find the full version download. Once you choose your options, click "Full Version". The next page offers yet more options. You can opt for a back-up DVD for 9.95, which I did, and "download insurance" for 7.95, which I did not! The full version is downloading as I type. Hopefully, 10 will clear up the issues I've been having.

Interesting, I came here to find out how to get rid of the annoying popup. It would come up even without running VS9.5. But at @24.95, I couldn't really pass that up. Also, I think this is the first time I've ever had a licensed WinZip program. Not that it's getting installed - 7-zip is better. (Sorry, WinZip.)

My question is, will my AfterShot3 still work with VS10.5?
