Can you scroll over a masked proxy?

Due to a problem I had last week I have to use proxy files now.
When I placed one as overlay and mask it it looks fine as long as it stopped, but when scrolled over or played the mask goes berserk . It renders well (for the one test I did)

using original clip do not have that illness.

I do not really understand, I assume you have applied Chroma Mask Frame.

Is it just the kaleidoscope effect of the moving squares that’s confusing, if you view the video after 4 seconds does the mask look static?

Trevor, select any mask over a proxied file , scroll or play it . Do you see the mask correctly?
it's that simple.

Adding a mask frame looks ok and static when playing or scrolling over the clip, I do not see any problems

Do you have another link to a direct download rather than File Dropper

Usually a right click and Save Target As works but not for that link.

Have you tried Microsoft One Drive, Google Drive or DropBox all seem pretty simple to use.

I don't have those, but why here I don't need to install? all I need is pressing "download the file" and type the code and get the file
(it's a german site)
It's just 2mb file.

Well I finally found that link after wading through the rest of the junk.
Maybe we see a different window to you, we are not registered so the web site tries to get us to install / register for File Dropper

No I do not have any problems like that, my mask works ok.

Can you zip your VSP and attach to the post, cheers

Trevor, have you make sure the file is proxied? only than there is problem.

**** Well, if I set the proxy at the default Auto (recommended) .upx file, than the culprit gone, but the proxy file is larger or about the size of the original HD file (MB wise) .
The culprit shows only on all the other different templates, so can you confirm that trevor?

I have set proxies to use these settings, same as video being used.
No problems

MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 15000 Kbps, 16:9
48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 256 Kbps
