PSD Error on Re-save

Hi everyone I have a problem when I open up a PSdD Photoshop file to edit when I go save it I get a error message all the message says is Unspecified error it says nothing else the files was made in psp not photoshop so it does not have layer styles and etc that photoshop has ..and it does it on every psd I re-save .. it does not do on new psd files I am saving for the first time and I tried on both 32 and 64 bit workspaces and both gets the error there is no error or problem with jpeg,png,and pspimage formats it is not a real big problem but annoying and I save my files in psd and png allot for sharing Thank You for your time and help

I have Windows 10 64 bit and PSP X8 Ultimate( waiting patiently for PSPX10 ) I only have two plugins installed so far after buying a new computer this month Xero , & Superblade Pro

I can't help with the problem, but if I might make a suggestion. Save to PSPImage for editing, and PSD for sharing. If the problem is specifically with re-saving the file then opening a PSPImage file and saving back out as a PSD file might help to mitigate that.

The only reason I can think of for PSD files failing on re-save is if they are read-ony or some sort of permissions error. Like lacking a "modify" permission. But I have no idea why that would be the case, so it's probably not that. And I cannot duplicate your issue. Resaving and saving a copy with Save As all work properly for me.

Thank you LeviFiction for the help .. I always make a psp file also I like to see thumbnail when doing a search photoshop does not show thumbnail .. but I now have a little more trouble since I posted for help .. now I am starting to get the same message in pspimage and png s formats specially pspimage files too and I always use Save As option for other formats saving I thought of file permission too tried changing permission on one file with no luck

Up date the psp was acting worse so I removed it with the Completely removal tool that is post here and made sure I delete all my left over folders and deleted from my registry then re added and so far so good with no problem will keep you posted if it starts acting up again

Update After My Re-install of PSPx8 it was running fine till today now when I to save anything and press Save As it crashes again.. might reinstall my PSPX6 .. I was going to try to wait and get the next new PSP I might put my PSP X6 back to see if it something wrong .. might use 6 till the new one is out .. I am mot having any problems on my computer but for PSP
