Hi
Why and what have you set to 1920 x 1080?
Start a new project……
Right click timeline for Insert Video
If you insert the 4K to the timeline do you get a message to match the project properties, if yes say ok.
Are you able to play the video.
You may have to enable Smart Proxy if playback is poor.

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
Hi
Smart Proxy
For the time being I would disable that option and delete any proxy files via settings Proxy File Manager
Your original post indicates that you are able to insert your video files to the library, is this correct?
Right click one of your clips and choose properties, what are they?
You can create an image of that panel to attach to your post.
From the library, right click a clip and choose Insert to --Video Track
Does the program crash?
If yes, run the program, Preferences (F6) deselect Show Messages when inserting…..
Try adding the video again.
If the video files are Mov or Mpeg4 do you have QuickTime codec installed?

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
I had the same problems.websister wrote:well, now it just crashed again when i right clicked on the clip. worked once then just stopped
deleting temp files and re installing helped once or twice. There was no consitancy though...i did it 20 times in a row and the 20th worked....so don't rule out beating it with a hammer
On my new machine. Only corel installed.
It insta rebooted my pc to a blue screen and a timer.when I added a clip to the time line.
i'm not finding that corel plays very well in the 4k sandbox.

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
from the pc Start Menu, QuickTime should be listedwebsister wrote:, i turned off smart proxy, how can i tell if i have quicktime codec installed?
from Control Panel - Program and Features again QT should be listed
With comments from Scoobydoo I think you should contact Corel Support for further help on this issue.
I do not use 4 K and have no samples to test, unless other 4K forum users can help?

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
I have been using 4K video clips for sometime and have no issues since X9. Please give more details of your 4K file: camera that captured the video, bitrate, framerate, format (mov or mp4), color depth (new 4K video from GH5 with 10 bit color depth appears to not be working). If you can cut a small clip from your video file and share it in some cloud drive, I'd be happy to test it in my system.websister wrote:I have finally been able to insert my 4k shot video, which shows MP4 file into video library, I have it set to 1980x1080 when i click on it to play in preview window it crashes the program. any help will be nice. thanks

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
The video was shot from sony x33 4k camcorder, the file it is saved in mp4 file, frame rate 29.9, total bitrate 60231kbps.
I went out and paid for another editing software (which makes me mad spending more money) and it has no problem loading any 4k video. I am very disappointed with corel, because I really like this software.thanks

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
Your video files should work fine in X10; I don't have your camcorder, but my GH4 generates very high bitrate 4K files and they work fine. If you want to share a short clip with the forum, we might be able to figure out what the problem is. Is your X10 the Trial version? If so, this could be the problem since the trial version is crippled on mp4 files.

Hi
The Forum has a file size limit, your video will be too large to upload to the forum.
To share your video file you would have to use a free sharing site, Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, Drop Box have been used by members of the forum.

Re: videostudio x10 crashes
Is there now (or if not start 1?) a single Windows 10 Issues thread so that there's a list of such in ONE place?
