I am at my wits end - plea for help

I have still not solved my problem of a week ago where i upgraded online to VS9. All the upgrade does is to uninstall the trial version and then it cannot find VS8 although I repeatedly show it where is is located in my C:\ drive.

Today is my last day of the trial period and then i am stuck as I have projects created in VS9 that VS8 does not recognise.

5 requests for assistance from Ulead have gone unanswered, before I cancel the credit card payment and move to a totally different product can anyone here help me?

Ulead patently don't give a damn.

You cannot use the trial version as the starting platform when installing an upgrade -- you have to have a retail product installed, or buy the full (non-upgrade) version of UVS 9.

THoff I have the full registered VS8 version, the upgrade dowload isn't recognising it on my system. I can provide the registartion details I used the VS9 upgrade link provided in an email from Ulead, and when that led to a missing page I went to upgrade centre and downloaded from there.

How else do I get an upgrade that will "see" my VS8?

Did you bought your UVS 8 as Full ESD version? The problem might be caused by the bug in the TBYB version of UVS 8 which is also an issue on other Ulead softwares when installing an update versions or even update patches. I think the real causing this problem is the composition of these versions that is more likely as Ulead trial versions and there is no fix for it. However, if you bring this problem together with your proof of purchase to Ulead Technical Support, they'll give you a new private link for you to download the non-TBYB version of the VideoStudio 8 software so you could able to run the upgrade version of UVS 9. Be sure also to install the UVS 8 in the C:\Program files\Ulead folder and remove the trial version os UVS 9 in your system before installing the VS 9 upgrade version.
