PSP X9 and pre;loaded scripts

Post by hitest »

I hope I have posted this in the correct place. I am new to PSP and have the trial version of X9. X9 came with a bunch of pre loaded scripts. Is there somewhere I can go to get a description of what the pre loaded scripts for X9 will do? I tried downloading the "free scripting guide" mentioned in the X9 user guide PDF, but when I installed it, it told me this was a pdf file that contained scripts for X7, which appear to be completely different that the preloaded scripts for X9. Thanks

The Scripting guide is for people who want to get started scripting. I don't think there is a comprehensive list or description of the scripts.

For the most part many of the scripts names are self-explanatory. And for those that aren't, you can hit the "Edit Script" button. This will either open the script in a dialog where you can see a "Description" of the script. Or it will open in notepad where one of the top lines in the file is labeled "Description" and that will tell you what the script is for.

Here is the full list that I have.

1) One Step Photo Fix and Noise Removal - Performs the functions "One Step Photo Fix" followed by "One Step Noise Removal"

11) Greyscale - Converts image to greyscale
12) Vintage - Performs Time Machine photo effect with Albumen setting
13) Comic Line Art - performs several tasks to make the image look like a comic book page. At least it tries, it's not very convincing.

Thanks Levi for this list, it has helped a lot. I especially like the simple caption script, although I didn't care for the drop shadow effect it did, so I modified the script and commented out this part of the code. I see also that the grey background tends to make some pictures a little dark and adjust photo fix doesn't really fix them after this script is applied, so I am looking into changing the background canvas colour. Thanks again for the list.
