Does anyone know how to move a clip, such as an overlay clip from one place to another in a video. Actually I want to move it and scale it down like in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em8dS18MC7k The part I'm talking about starts at 1:54. He does that in Premier, but I'm talking about doing the same thing in Videostudio.
Thanks.

Re: Anyone know how to move a clip overlay?
The question was answered in your previous post. Use Advanced Motion on the overlay tracks.
I suggest you take time to learn the program and watch the many tutorials from Corel and from Gripps on YT.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: Anyone know how to move a clip overlay?
I spent hours trying to find the answer to this and I couldn't find it anywhere. I looked at a lot of corel tutorials and I searched all the titles of Gripps Youtube videos and I didn't see any that covered that. I always do that first and use the forums as a lost resort.
Anyway, I got my answer so now it's just a matter of studying that.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Anyone know how to move a clip overlay?
The options on VS have been built up over a number of releases so, for example, Advanced Motion was available in X8. You can play with all the options without busting VS and, if anything goes wrong, it is easy to start again.
I have used Advanced Motion with objects that I have Greenscreened (another good option) to fly and change in size. I accept that I did not do it first go but had to experiment. I cannot think of anything straightforward that VS cannot do, all these "clever" effects are just a matter of trying out and playing about. You will have seen from the tutorials that the program is very versatile even if there isn't a button to press marked with the effect you want. There is nearly always a way round the problem.
I suggest you don't try to do everything at once, break the movement into steps and apply each step separately.
