Spectrum analyser plugin?

Post by windygamer »

I'd like to add spectrums to my videos. Like this:

Is there a plugin to do this.

I've heard about After effects, but I have VideoStudio, and don't want to spend the big bucks for Adobe products.

Thanks,wg

I'm not sure which plugin would give you the overlay that you're after. But if you search Google for spectrum analyzers there's quite a few. VS uses VST for plugins, so finding one that utilizes that should work.

Ron, vst is for sound , and here he is looking to get a video stream sound generator.
A poor man solution is to screen capture media player visualization.

No there is nothing like this in VS...

I have done In the past I have done this 2 different ways...
1... I own an equalizer with a real-time spectrum analyzer and I simply just record it on the camera and then simply croma-key out the black background...

2.. I also use a plug-in visualizer for Windows media player (Whitecap by Sound Spectrum)... and I'll export the audio track as a simple .wav file, then playback on WMP & screen capture it... and then do the same croma-key trick with that clip back into VS...

Both ways have worked pretty well for me...
