I know, this is ridiculous, but because ASP is so slow, or more precisely completely inactive, with creating new camera profiles and working on bugs and improvements, I was looking for other ways to get the best out of my RAF files. I'm using Linux by the way, otherwise I would have already switched to Lightroom.
I downloaded a trial version of Iridient X-Transformer, which only converts RAF files into DNG files. The images are watermarked, but I was only testing. Because ASP doesn't support DNG files, I then imported all DNG files into Darktable and then exported them as jpegs so I can open them with ASP and use it's image assessment system (tagging, metadata etc.). You may wonder why I then still use ASP. Yes, I'm asking myself that too. The only reason I can think of is that I hate to see ASP disappear from the market, although it is as good as dead. It's potentially the best and fastest system in the world, and also the worst. I hate to see good things die. I therefore think Corel should sell ASP or make it open source.

I think making it open source would be ideal.

This is why I would hate ASP to go dead: https://jackdaw.stackstorage.com/s/TK7TjJw8UCNyPKq
On the left, a RAF file converted with Iridient X-Transformer to a DNG file, then opened in Darktable.
On the right the RAF file opened in ASP.
Both only with a little sharpening. ASP can be really good, I think it even shows more detail than what is considered the master in detail, Iridient.
