How canI paste text to a PSP canvas ?

Is there a way to passe Wordpad text to a blank PSP canvas ? A work-around maybe ? I am a nwebee of course. Thanks for any ideas.

Yes and no.

PSP does not paste text directly, you have to add a text object to the canvas and then paste in your text. So the steps are.
1) Grab text tool
2) Click on canvas
3) Paste in text
4) Accept changes.

Now that being said it is possible to create a script that grabs text from the clipboard and makes a new text object for you. It will not, however, retain any formatting. I created one a while back for someone else. What version of PSP do you have?

Actually, you CAN do it, if you copy and paste as a new layer. It will create a white image with the text as formated, and then, you can change the blend mode to Multiply to make the white disappear. However, that text is not editable, but it can still be used as an "image" of the original text.
