I think VS is a bargain and a powerful program, but the marketing department clearly views its customers as dummies: I find no reference in the help files to multiplexing, demuxing, concatenation, bitrate (DAR, VBR, CBR), recoding, etc.
Can somebody share how to separate audio from video (for, say, editing the audio, which I do, using Audacity), and how to mux the two again?

Re: Demultiplexing question
VS calls it split audio. Insert video clip on timeline, right click, split audio.

Hi
Share - choosing the Audio option will render the entire project to a Wav file.
Render to preview range will create a custom sizes wav.
Or add a single clip to the timeline to create a separate Wav
