VSX Ultimate download problem

Yesterday, I purchased via web the VS 10 Ultimate. I received an email with a link to an installer starter file. That downloaded and ran. When the full installer started, I put in the license key I was sent and left everything else as default. The download started, a file on my desktop was created and some files were downloaded. After about 30 seconds and about 40mb, an error message popped up that said there was something wrong with my internet connection and the install just stopped and closed. I tried this several times, including downloading the starter file from the email link again. Same error, at the same time, after the same amount of data downloads.

How can I get the program that I paid for? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Sorry you are having these problems, we do not work for Corel just volunteers trying to help.

I think your best option is to contact Corel Support and report your problem, maybe they will provide a direct link rather than using the Web Installer.

It is possible that it is your default browser that the Web Installer does not like.
Are you using Internet Explorer? if not please try setting that as your default browser.
Yes I realise that any browser should work.

If you run the download again select the main program to see if that will download rather than selecting all packages.

Otherwise I do not know what else to suggest other than Corel Support.

Just to keep everyone informed...
I did as you suggested and changed my default browser to IE and ran into the same problem. Then tried to download again but just the main program and not the extra's. Again same problem.
I opened a problem at Corel Support but have not yet heard back. I'll post here any information.

I heard back from Corel Support and they told me to turn off my firewall. That did not help.
I was able to download the files to a different computer, so I guess I have what I need without help from Corel.

Now I have to install and see if I got all the extra stuff that comes with Ultimate. Does anyone know where I should look or in what folders to see if the extra's actually installed properly?

By default the downloads are saved to a folder called Video Studio on the desktop, although we can choose any folder location.

That save location will have……………..
64bit Folder
Common Folder (contains additional files, Smart Sound, MyDVD etc)
Video Studio_install.exe ( that’s the Web Installer.)


The 64 bit folder should have sub folders……….

Bonus Folder ( contains the Prodad stuff, that is the Ultimate package)
Standard Contents ( completes the main program installation)
Ultimate Folder ( just to confuse this contains the Main Program files.)

Running the Video Studio-install.exe will prompt us to install all packages, assuming they have been downloaded.
We can install the program manually by accessing the Ultimate folder for Setup.exe will install the Main program
Standard Content – setup-CHD.exe
Bonus Feature – setup-Bonus.exe

If the Ultimate pack has installed the ProDad stuff etc. will show in the FX library

Thank you so much for this information. It looks like I did get everything and it seems to be installed. I still don't know why I couldn't download the files on my computer but at least I got it.
