Just a suggestion that may or may not work. Have you installed it and let it installed in its default Photoshop folder and then tried pointing PSP to that folder? Quite some time ago I used that workaround to get a couple of Photoshop plugins to work with PSP (when I couldn't coax them to install in the PSP folder) and it worked for me. Can't remember which ones they were now, and I also recall that another PS plugin I tried that with didn't work. So I guess it's a hit-or-miss workaround. Just a thought.trueblue wrote:Are you able to see Eye Candy 7 in the plugins list in PSP......remember this is a 64bit version and will work in PSP 64 bit programme.
I, for the life of me cannot get my Eye Candy 7 to work In PSPX9, even following Alien Skin's advice, however, that is for X2 and X3, much has changed since then.
I've no idea why Alien Skin don't support PSP. I for one, and others have paid a lot of money to purchase Eye Candy.

I agree with you. Eye Candy is unfortunately overpriced, but I have in May in the action week from 3-10. May 2017 "spring sale" and do not regret it. Instead of the regular price of $129 I paid "only" $90,30. Yes, even the lower price is, in my opinion, much too high ?!trueblue wrote:...I for one, and others have paid a lot of money to purchase Eye Candy.

My 32 bit Eye Candy is installed in the 32bit X7 plugins folder with both X7 and X9 pointed to it there and they work. As I have CS6 installed I just let the 64bit Eye Candy install in that plugin's folder and pointed my 64 bit PSP versions there and that works also.trueblue wrote:I'm happy to say that I finally fixed up my Eye Candy 7 and use it with 64bit PSP.
I reinstalled the programme into my C \ Program Files \ Alien Skin \ Eye Cany 7.
PSP File Locations. Direct to the above file.
I now see EC7 in my 64bit version of PSP.
You can do the same for 32bit, but I don't often use 32bit.
If you have an Adobe program (e.g., Photoshop, Elements, etc.) installed then, as mentioned above, just let Eye Candy install as it wants to and then point PSP to the install location (which will likely be Program Files>Alien Skin>Eye Candy 7 if you are installing the 64bit version). If you don't have an Adobe program then I would normally suggest that you install a trial version of one, install Eye Candy, and don't worry about the trial Adobe program expiring. But now that Adobe has gone with the subscription Cloud model I'm not sure that there is such a thing as a trial program that you can get. I still have CS6, which made the Eye Candy installation process easy.GraphicsKat wrote:When I try to install the trial version, the only "option" I get for host program is Photoshop. There is no custom install.
I also tried adding the Eye Candy 7 folder (the one that contains the .exe file) to my file locations for plugins, but it still didn't show up. Exactly what folder should I be directing it to?
Thanks!
Not sure if I replied to you Joe but EC7 is now working correctly in PSP.JoeB wrote:Just a suggestion that may or may not work.
