Hi, this is my first post and thanks for having me.
I would like to film myself playing all three parts in a three piece blues band. I have no idea how to do that.
Any advise?
The Gerbil.

Hello and Welcome
that is a bit of a complicated project to start with but it can be done
you will use a process called Chroma Key - available in VideoStudio - sometimes still called "green screen" because that's where we started from, but nowadays blue is much more common but in practice you can use almost any colour
first requirement is a large plain wall (large sheet) in any colour which does not feature prominently in the foreground subjects (or else you will be able to see through them !!
it must be coloured smoothly and evenly all over and then lit pretty evenly as any dark patches will upset the final result
then basically you film yourself 3 separate times in different locations in front of the coloured wall/sheet and put each one in an overlay track with a background of your choice in the top track and invoke the chroma-key option
the biggest problem is likely to be sound synchronisation - you may find it easiest to record the music first - then "mime" each performance while playing (but not recording) your performance

Will definitely give that a go. The music is already recorded but was not sure of the video.
I have to get a large blue sheet and rent my local village hall for an afternoon.
If it's fit to be seen I will post a link to the video here.
Thank you.

Your final screen should look something like this
