mkv files and srt issues

hello i begin to use VSX10 ultimate.but i noticed some issues.when insert an mkv file in the timeline play correctly.but when i insert an srt file ,how i can say...stucks.repeating jamming.is there any bug with mkv files when inserting srt files?

If you insert the SRT to a new project, inserting the text only, do you have problems with playback.
Or is it only when using the MKV file?

i have problem with playback(i meaning when i see the window at the left corner) after inserting srt files.without srt or after removing srt files the mkv playing correctly.perhaps this problem is only during the playback?or the problem will be ''transfered'' when create the video choosing a share option?sorry for my bad english and i hope to understand me

Can you try using Smart Proxy files for your MKV files.

Hi

When you add the MKV to the timeline you probably playback in Clip mode.
Then adding the SRT you will playback in Project Mode
If project playback is slow then using Smart Proxy may help.

Go to Settings – Smart Proxy Manager – Enable Smart Proxy

Now right click the MKV clip and choose Create Smart Proxy Files
The process may take a while to render those proxy files.
View Settings Smart Proxy Queue Manager, when complete, try playing your project

Goodmorning lata. in a few minutes i will try your idea.
1)also about that you told me (that probably playback in clip mode). after inserting the mkv file in the timeline i save as..project.so the playback is in the project mode.isn't?
2)also the problem if remain,is the problem of playback only or it ''transfered'' in the final video file?always create H.264 files for better playback in TV.the problem there will be i the final file(that i created with share option)?
3)After ceration proxy file , i reopen the first project file or create a new one?inserting in the timeline the upx file?

2 / if the problem is a playback issue then rendering the project should play ok.

3 / once the proxy files have been created you can use the original project which hopefully will playback ok.

How long is your MKV video? And how large in Gb?

Hi

Pressing the Project word adjacent to the Play button will switch the timelines to Project Playback mode.

If Smart proxy files have been created then a small icon will show on the clips thumbnail, similar to this.

i dont understand the trick to pressing word adjacent is to playback both of two in project mode?also i don't undersatnd excactly what i press..
1)i attach a screenshot.i have create 3 upx files but the 4th...has a problem.i clik in create smart proxy file but nothing happened the window's field is blanc

Hi

Proxy files will be created for any video having a frame size above 720 x 576 as set vial Preferences – performance tab.
View the 4th clip, does it contain the icon showing in my earlier image.

Right click the 4th clip and choose properties, what is the frame size?

Clip Playback
Click any clip in the timeline and the word clip will be highlighted ( next to play button)
Clip playback plays individual selected clip.

Project Playback
Click the top of the timeline where the curser is, will switch to project playback,
Also click the word Project and will also switch to project mode.
Project Playback will play all clips in the timelines, playing the entire project.
