Lorem Ipsum,

Post by pepegota »

I used a Lorem Ipsum file and every text entry after that remained the same.
How can I get rid of this Lorem Ipsum annoyance, so that I can change text style?

Quote from Wiki:-
lorem ipsum (derived from Latin dolorem ipsum, translated as "pain itself") is a filler text commonly used to demonstrate the graphic elements of a document or visual presentation. Replacing meaningful content with placeholder text allows designers to design the form of the content before the content itself has been produced.

So you just delete it and replace with your text for your title. This does not stop you choosing any text style available in VS.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi pepegota

Are you using X9, I think X10 may be different.

The text editor tends to use the last settings for the next text box.
If you use one of the library presets then those will be used next time.

1 / Select the “T” icon
2 / double click the preview window to start a text.
3 / change the Font type
4 / Change the font size
5 text backdrop
6 / Set the Border/ Shadow/Transparency

The new settings should be used for new work

I would suggest once you have set a text to your liking, drag to library as a copy.
You can then re-use that clip and settings for future text boxes, simply changing/replacing the text.

I found a work around and got rid of the annoyance. VS Pro X10
I tried it again, with a new project, and no problem but, should it reoccur, I can get around it.
