HelpConstant crashing x9 and x10. Out of sync audio as well

Post by Scoobydoo »

A few weeks ago I had issues after rendering a file shot in 4k 100mbps using a sony fdr ax53.
The first 30 seconds would rendered fine....then the vid would slow down...and freeze with the audio playing fine.
To salvage the video i had to render the other clips..upload to youtube and cut together on youtube. (filmed the cutting in half of an object so i couldn't buy another just to film it again) I did this as a work around after hours of hair pulling.

Fast forward to a few days ago.

Shot 10 clips. Selected the 10 clips to import......crash
Individually Selected clip 1 and 2 fine........the second i clicked on clip 3 to highlight it...boom...corel closes instantly.

I reshot the entire hour long shoot last night. Imported to corel....imported fine.
Dragged clip to storyline...boom crash.

Now I can't even click on the file to import without it crashing.

I've now done quite a bit of rendering and it works fine 90% of the time...but when it doesn't..it's killing my productivity.

Here is an example of what i'm doing.
Reshooting is not an option. As damage is done every time the items are opened. And they can get pricey.
Suggestions.

Thank you in advance.
I tried smart proxy, media library reset, run as admin.
Reinstalling fresh now.

I reinstalled fully.
Removed all previous installations of 9, gopro quick, and any other programs I installed to work on this project while I try to figure this out.

Still crashes.

This is a major problem.

I opened a ticket. However if this keeps happening. I can't use the software.

Hi Scoobydoo

And welcome to the forums.

Are you able to upload samples of your video files to a Sharing site, One Drive, Google Drive and DropBox work well. Provide a sharing link on your post.

We can then test on our pc’s to see if we can replicate the crashes.

I'll see what i can find. Currently I have a 36gb file. Without enough room in my sharable cloud storage services to store it.

if I can locate the shorter clips i'll do that.

Thank you. Here is an example. Starts at around 4 minutes and change

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBbRqHqfzGo

The first few mins i had a similar issue. But I converted it to a lower res and bitrate in sony's free play memory program. Then took that clip and added to corel.

Between rendering and uploading. It took 6 plus hours....now i have to redo it.

Is there a better program?

The clips play fine in camera, in vlc and in windows media player.

They even play fine in corel...but they render oos.

Additionally I had to reshoot the whole video in pieces. Because the 53 minute single clip crashed corel....I'd upload it to dropbox but it's 30 plus GB.

Hi, I went to your YT channel, my 2c is very simple
I don't see any practical benefits of your closeup videos in 4K , HD will be just as good and much more EZ to handle..
Unless your videos are screened on the jumbotron at your local arena.

I like recording at higher bit rates.

I plan on continuing to do so.

The software works fine sometimes...but not others.

When everything is 4k or higher. I'd prefer to at least be at the standard.
