[filename] is not accessible

i just installed ulead video studio 8 and when i go to open a video file it tell sme [filename] is not accesible, no matter were i put the file it sais this,its not set to read only. help?

You don't give us much to go on.

You might try re-installing VS8.

Then spell out in great detail exactly how you try to "open" your video file and what format it is in, where it is, etc.

well i was hoping it might be a simple and somewhat common problem, thats why i didnt bother to go into great detail. i will try reinstalling. this is a xvid encode of a move ripped from a dvd, 650 megabytes large, located on my usb hardrive. however other files are also doing the same, the only thing they have in common is that they are lare files, smaller video files seem to open fine.

The File is not accessible message shows because the video/audio CODEC for the file you use is not available in your system, or cannot be recognized by Ulead products.

Please find the proper CODEC for your file so it can be read in UVS.
