Is this the update that others have reported will place some intrusive ads in the program that can't be stopped?

Does it give you version number 19.2.0.7 or does it give a new, higher version number?

So far so good. I have done an hour's work so far. No hangs or crashes. I find the loading times and responsiveness of the program much improved.

As I use X7 but do have X9 32 bit installed for checking it out, I just installed the Patch 4. Haven't done much with it but it does display 19.2.0.7 as the version.

Would like to install x9 64 bit now but apparently I will have to uninstall my 32 bit version to do so. Sounds like a poor implementation of that option to me. But my computer has enough cores and speed that I likely don't need the 64 bit version unless I want to try that new 64bit Particle plugin - the one which costs $$$ for each decent new preset. Not about to go that route. :-)

After updating the Text Effects still freeze the program, so just as well I don't use those :-)

But, can you set the text parameters before starting to type?

Edit to add: Yes you can! Finally! It took four updates to fix this!

Interestingly, on my laptop (Surface Pro 4), when I checked for an update this morning, it was there and I updated to19.2.0.7. Then several hours later I tried on my desktop (19.1.0.29 x64) and the reply was "....no updates available at this time."

Anyone else see this? Did Corel pull the update?

No they didn't pull it. Have you ever heard the old saying that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing? Well, it's often the same for the Corel servers. I had the same a couple of days ago when I checked for an update within PSP and got no result. Then I downloaded and installed from this link.

I copy the update files from my laptop to my desktop and install before opening PSP. The updates are in C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads and there is a separate folder for each one. The folder names are gibberish but the file name tells you what each one is. I just look for today's date on the folder details.

Installing Update 4 reset my workspace to default and made all toolbars/palettes visible. No problem, loading my saved Workspace should fix it, I thought. Wrong. Something has changed and as a result all my bound script shorcuts and custom toolbars were gone for good. Had no choice but to re-customize my toolbar icons, re-bind the scripts and drag them to the menu bar one by one. Saved a new Workspace. Upside is, I think Update 4 has fixed the weird Pen Tool crash.
