Hi

I have just created two video files, 1hr 14 mins and 1 hr 21 mins, both m2ts types
I have no problems in using MCE and 2018
I did not apply any fixes to 2018, the program is installed as normal.

If you are still having issues you should contact Corel Support to explain your problem.

aljimenez wrote:It's going to be hard to help you with those very large video files. Most of us try to keep video clips shorter and assemble them together into our video stories. I recommend you change to do that in the future. For now, if you give more details on the video files and project settings someone might offer some ideas to figure out what the problem is: give size of files, bitrates, resolution, format. When they work earlier in X9, did VS work well with those files?
Not true! There is a long history with most version of Corel multicam not working. I have a brand new Asus Model: Q536FD-BI7T15, 8th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-8565U mobile processor / 16GB system memory, 2TB hard drive SSD (upgraded), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics / Intel UHD Grafics 620 / Installed DirectX 12 and Nvidia Cuda latest version, for the life of me still can't even use multicam, it will not play. It is not the most powerful notebook but outside of Corel Studio have no issues using third party video editors. As for editing in Corel, I am only using two 20 minute clips and sync with sound. Once I click play the sound is fine but the video is staggered and audio is way off. Fact, the video doesn't even play for the most part. I done every settings to change the proxy, video settings, and it still does not work along with past version. I even attempted with desktop system by Lenovo 2019 model packed with power and still with the same issues.

I contacted Corel and doing a remote seeing the failure when using multicam. During the Remote session I demonstrate using the same 20 minutes clips in Adobe Premiere CC and multicam ran flawlessly. I also ran one hour clips in Adobe Premiere CC without one single drop frames or any issues, audio and video played together without any form of issues.

Also, I installed the trial of Cyperlink Director and use the same 20 Minute clips and ran into somewhat the same problem until I change the preview screen settings to low (can't do in Corel) and multicam ran without any issues. I also did a trial with Magix Video Pro X and the same results -NO ISSUES. Fact, Magix Video Pro X proxy was so fast I didn't have to wait to edit in multicam. With Corel, the proxy was soooooooooo slow I had to wait a long time to even try to edit in multicam.

No matter the size of the video, 5 minutes or an hour Corel has not address this issue with thousands of users even in this latest version. Fact, they have not address three issues: Proxy is slow, Rendering is slow, and Multicam does not work for most systems. The problem is the code of the program and it needs to be recode from the ground up. I want to use Corel Studio but they piss me off so much I can't afford keep buying their upgrades knowing the same codes is passed onto the next version.

So please, don't make excuses for an on going issues with Corel products. Most computers (2017 - 2019) with a mid dedicated video card can edit lengthy videos without an issue. The exception to this would be the rending time, color correction, or multiples of effects. Otherwise, a good coded video editor will have no problems doing videos as long as an hour, I did it and know it can be done. Oh yes, the support team ask me to upload all of my internal system spec and it is about a month since I heard back?

Last, Did you know that Corel use the same code to build the multicam in Pinnacle Studio 22 Pro / Ultimate, the multicam is identical as it is in Corel Studio. The same issues in Corel Studio with Multicam is the same in Pinnacle Studio 22. So, those who don't own Pinnacle Studio 22 don't get it, you will run into the same problem that is happening in Corel Studio!
