have an image resize from one frame to the next

Post by mgrogan »

I have a frame where an image fills 30% of the frame.
Can I have that image then slowly resize so that it fills the whole frame (or into the next frame). I currently have one frame with the image of 30% size, then next frame has the image at 100% with a transition of Crossfade. It is not quite the effect I was after.

Also the reverse situation, where an image fills the frame and resizes to a position in a frame.
https://goo.gl/photos/P6mUHonWD2e6nZJt8 In this instance have one image fill the frame, then resize smaller, repeat for other 2 images, until this is the final frame.

The tutorials of pan and zoom do not achieve the effect I'm after.

Many thanks
:)

This is simply achieved by dragging the image to the overlay track, opening options and Advanced Motion. You can then move and resize the image as you require. You may want to put a background on the main track to enhance the image.
You will need to accept the extra frames generated while the image increases in size. You will need to stretch the image to cover the time you want for the image to "grow", then apply the motion effect you require. You can also make the image move over the screen as well as change in size.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Hi Margaret

Customise Motion and Advanced Motion are the same tool, don’t know why Corel have used different names.

I usually right click my clip for the popup menu - Customise Motion, that way I can set CM for clips in all tracks.

The tools is very good and a must, maybe a little complex on first use but that’s just the learning curve.
Take time , get used to it , you wont look back.
