How do I import sequential image files into Video Studio X10

Post by kennmac0317 »

I create animations in 3D Studio MAX and then output to sequential image files ( frame0001.tga, frame0002.tga, frame0003.tga, frame0004.tga,........) How do I import them into Video Studio X10 Ultimate? The lowest I can get the default photo duration is to 1 sec. I need each frame to come in at 1/30 th of a second (ie; 30 fps). I can't find any where on the import dialog to select files as "sequential". Was a very simple task in Adobe Premiere.

Thanks for any help I can get.

You are correct, in Preferences photo duration can only be set as a minimum of 1 second, what you need to do is to place your images in the timeline, highlight them and right click, select Change Photo Duration, in the Duration Panel you can now set the duration by number of frames required.

It's very simple you import them as a sequence from the capture menu > stop motion > import

Asik1's method only captures the images and places them on the timeline and they come in at 2 sec per image. I used RobertOZ's method to change all the images to 0:0:0:1 Would be nice if there was a check box on the "Insert Media Dialog UI".

Now when I try it, it gives me an error stating "Corel Video Studio has stopped working" When I run the debug, it says there is a "New instance of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and that it has an invalid license data, Reinstall is required". For some reason I have both VS 2010 and VS-express 2013 on my system. I'm not a "systems" guru so I don't want to be going and uninstalling things in case other programs need VS 2010.

rock and a hard spot....
