I have purchased a copy of VS8 SE. If I want to download the VS9 upgrade, which order would you recommend that I install on my PC? 8SE, then VS8 patches, then VS9, then VS9 patches.
Or, can you go straight from 8SE disc to VS9 download without patches for version 8?
Thanks
Upgrade VS8 SE?

I would recommend against downloading the upgrade and getting the physical disc instead, that way the repair function is easier to use on the VS 9 installation if needed and the 700mb or so of extra content is easier to handle.
No need to install VS8 if you have the disc. Just insert the VS9 upgrade disc and start the install, at some point it will tell you it can't find an earlier version of VS and give you a dialogue box. Take the VS9 disc out and put in the VS8 disc and browse to that disc. VS9 installation will detect it and then the VS9 installation will proceed.
