Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
Any image you can copy and paste in PSP, you can copy and paste as new layer on an already similar sized image.
Images on different layers can be edited independently to change color brightness etc.
Any vector text you want to add, can be placed on its own layer.
Because they are all on different layers you can also change their size (pick tool)
Your second image with 2 images and text is very easy to reproduce.
Yes this can all be done in PSP X6 and also in earlier and later versions.

Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
Not what I am asking. I am asking is can you click on anything you pasted and edit that item? It seems when you paste any item it's locked in and only the last item can be removed and it goes back the way you start. I have a CD/DVD cover program that allows anything to be edited on the spot, I wish Corel's program would do the same. SO since most likely I CAN'T edit anything in paste mode, IS there a mode I CAN edit, or does this program NOT allow me to edit the way the other program does, and if not WHICH program that is out there made by Corel can I get to EDIT anything at any time ?? Thanks

First off, what is this other program? Maybe that will give us a view of what you want.
Secondly, there is no paste mode. Pasting is not a separate mode unto itself.
What I think you're saying is that you pasted something into the image but then coudn't figure out how to edit what was already there. This is probably because you don't understand how layers work in PSP.
PSP works with layers, when you paste something into an image it creates a new layer. You can only edit the currently active layer, but you can select any layer in the image to make it active. To do this you need the layer's palette. In the layers palette you can see an over view of every layer in the image. Select the layer you want to edit, and then start editing.
So let's say you opened an image. The image becomes the "background" layer or first layer. You can draw on this layer, use the effects options, anything you want. When you paste something in it creates a brand new layer on top of the background layer. If you look at the layers palette you'll see two items. Background layer. And Raster 1. Raster 1 is the new layer that holds what you pasted into the program. It will be highlighted in blue, this indicates an active layer. The active layer is the one that all actions will be performed on. To re-select the background layer just click on it in the layers palette. The background layer will then be highlighted in blue and all actions will then edit that layer leaving Raster 1 alone.
If this isn't sounding at all familiar you're going to have to give us more information. Screenshots. Recordings. Something. We're obviously using different language and working with different expectations. But as hartpaul said everything you bring into PSP is editable. There's nothing that should prevent you from editing every aspect of the image. Pasting doesn't render any other part of the image inaccessible unless you've merged two layers together overwriting the original data.

Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
Hartpaul did answer your question: use layers and you can do everything in PSP X6.
What you call pasting into your other program, you can "paste as new layer" in PSP.
As a layer, you can move it around, resize, edit, everything.
Take your example. You have Number one.
Paste the car on the top right of Number 2 as a new layer.
Paste everything or each element of the bottom of Number 2 as other layers.
Now you can move each layer around the frame. You can resize each layer. You can paint/draw on each layer. You can add text.
So Hartpaul answered your question. If you want to do it in PSP exactly the same way as you're used to in another program, well, then the answer would be no.

I had tried to post a couple pics that are smaller than what corel here say's it is and wouldn't let me post cause they were too big.
Doesn't matter what program it is, cause it isn't made to make items huge, only the size of CD and DVD covers. But it has the tools that should be part of PaintShop.

Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
I am looking for a program that will allow me to edit as you see in these 2 pictures. IS there such a program available. The way I copy and past on a 12X18 Poster at 3600X5400 is I make the size and add pics and text to it, but don't think corel allows to edit the items. I am NOT making separate whole pictures to make the same size and then make a final poster, I want to be able to resize and move around where ever I want anything I put onto the main background. THAT is what I would like to know.

Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
You can edit anything, however, it might help if you tell us what you are trying to edit.
In the image you posted, are you trying to edit the image? Change the image? Remove the text? Change the font? change the text?
Some things are editable provided they are in the right format.
For example, you can remove an image from the frame (or the frame from the image) if they are on separate layers. If not, it is more work.
You can edit the text and the font if it is still in vector format, but if it is changed to a raster format, you can't do it.
So, it might help us help you if we know what you are trying to edit. Then, our answers will be more specific and useful to you.

Re: COPY AND PASTE ITEMS - CAN THEY BE EDITED IN PSP PRO X6
WHATEVER I want. I am pasting anything to the first images in the post, but want to edit like the second set of pictures as wherever the pictures or texts are placed. The first posters are exactly what I am making. EVERYTHING you see pictured was copied and pasted to the whole background 1 at a time. I had to figure out which size worked best and then place it where you see the object. I am trying to find out IF you can do what I am doing WITHOUT ANY LAYERING whatsoever. I don't do layering and won't. most items are not the same size to place it in a layer. IF there isn't a program to edit an item or text wherever or whenever, then corel isn't gonna make it easy the way I do things. I guess i'm doing it kinda like in windows paint, copy and paste, but once it is placed, it can't be moved or twisted or resized in an instant.

Okay, why do you refuse to use layers, if layers make everything you want possible?

Simple. Copy your item from where ever. Then under edit choose Paste As New layer.
You're then in business.

If you want to move and/or edit different individual components of an image then use layers. As someone else asked, what's your problem with layers? If you're not willing to use them then you're likely on your own.

Sorry, that doesn't work. I paste as a transparent or new selection as these can be moved anywhere onto the background. The new layer doesn't do anything except put the item wherever, and it uses the entire pic, not the object.

because you can't put the object where you want in layer mode
