Hi all,
Apologies, this is a bit of a saga....
....a few nights ago my wife said her PSP X isn't working anymore. So I took a look. After clicking to open the app, it just sits on the splash screen. It sits there for hours.
So I thought best to uninstall and reinstall. I went to the windows unistall, select paint shop pro x and again it just sits on the splash screen. It doesn't uninstall
So I thought about a roll back to an earlier date when it worked. That didn't resolve it either.
So I tried to uninstall from the registry.....I can't find paint shop pro in the uninstall area of the registry. It's there in other areas.
So I downloaded Microsofts manual uninstall application.....that doesn't see PSP at all.
Next was to try and right click on the app and run as an admin, it states the action is only available for installed applications.....so i click normally, and it tries to open.
It continues.....next I try to reinstall using the psp X install file. It states PSP X already exists....
Then I find our old PSP 9, so try to install that. It get to about 99% and sits there for 4 hours....not moving. I gave up. I tried to run it, it says it's not installed, but there it is in the registry.
Running Windows 10 64 bit on a HP pro book 13.
Any suggestion? I'm at the point of just doing a fresh windows install!!!

Please read this recent thread on the same subject. http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 63#p339963
You will see that Revo Uninstaller was recommended, though may not necessarily work for everyone. The last post in the thread also suggests that that user is working to find a solution. But they have not yet posted back.
