Tiny Icons on Thumbnails - is there a master list somewhere?

Post by Eye Candy »

I've been using VSX9 Ultimate for a few weeks now - first editing software I ever purchased = noobville.
There are various tiny symbols / icons that appear on the thumbnails in both the library folders and on the timelines but I can't find any resource that tells me what they mean and I can't seem to get any info by (right or left) clicking on them.
Is there some master list of what these things mean :?: :!:
Video editing noob!

Welcome, there isn't any "master list" but there is the manual pdf , and there is time. The more you work with VS you will learn what of your actions put an icon.

Mostly, it's intuitive.
The library icons indicate whether the clips involved are on the PC (findable), or not. If not, both icon and colour changes (absent clip= yellow)
If a filter is on a clip (video or photo) an FX icon appears in the thumbnail image - you would have to click on the clip and then look at attributes to find out which one and what features are set.
Text, voice and music track items all have a related icon - eg,T in every text item, a microphone for voiceover etc.
