Does VS X10 Screen Capture at 60fps?

Post by ByronK »

Many gamers including myself screen capture at 60 fps or more. I couldn't find if the new VS X10 can now capture at 60 fps. If it did I'd purchase the new version if not I'll continue to use OBS.

\no. Screen Capture only captures in wmv format (why? I have no idea). And at 15, 25 and a maximum of 30 fps.

I also game capture, but use Raptr and capture at 60fps and 25M/bs. I wouldn't use the screen recorder for that purpose. You can't customize it like game recording software.
Remember, it's a screen recorder, not a game capture software where high frame rates will be needed. It's a basic one, but one that I have used to show software problems.
I have no problem importing Raptr captures MPG4.
Since game capture software is "free", I wouldn't spend the money on a video editor just for it to record a game. I would upgrade because it offers features in editing that I would use and want.
